Meet Dr. Mike!

Dr. Mike has embraced the importance of health and fitness for most of his life. While he currently competes in cross country mountain biking, Dr. Mike has participated in and enjoys various sports and physical activities (e.g., running, rock climbing, semi-pro football, boxing and other martial arts, yoga, strength training, hiking, swimming). He is also vegan. Because of his involvement in multiple activities and has a passion for healthy eating, Dr. Mike has passed on this knowledge by helping hundreds of people reach their health and fitness goals since the early 2000s.
With various certifications and an undergraduate degree, Dr. Mike spent several years changing lives working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, fitness manager, and club manager. He also had the privilege of spending a couple of years as an assistant collegiate track and field coach.
His master’s and doctorate degrees, along with his industry experiences, has given Dr. Mike the practical tools and broader understanding of the importance to living a healthy life. While he does currently teach at the university, Dr. Mike created Dr. Mike’s Fitness to offer a flexible, affordable, and convenient way to help you live a healthier, happier, and longer life
